The tick tock of a clock
measures the time from
when I was born til the moment I die,
but what is time?
How much time will pass befor I finish this rhyme?
How many moments have come and gone
by the time it takes for me to sing this song.
You're only alive in this instant, right now
not two seconds ago, or three minutes from now so,
When is now, and how long does it last?
and by the time I finish this verse how much has passed?
Is now a minute, a second or even half of that?
And how do we even go about measuring that?
I snap my fingers, another moment gone,
But really, does a moment even take that long?
